I am not here to sell you a paint job. I am here to build a relationship with you, and then do the work well enough that you call us again.

We reply within one business day. Your information is used to schedule the estimate and nothing else.

Painting with integrity and craftsmanship

When we paint your home, we are not just putting color on a wall. We are working on the place you come back to at the end of the day. That is worth treating carefully, and it is why we would rather understand what you want out of the space before we start quoting it.

William has been painting professionally since 2001, 25 years in the trade. What has kept this business going is not advertising. It is people calling us back and telling their neighbors. That only happens if the work holds up and the crew is straight with you while it is happening.

Why homeowners hire us twice

The five things that decide whether a paint job holds up. Ask any painter about these before you sign.

Owner on your job

William buys the paint himself and does two final walk-throughs before we call the job done. That is the check on quality.

In-house crews

Three lead painters with more than 25 years with the company between them. No day-of subcontractors. Quality is a habit, not a technique.

Real two coats

Two applications with full dry time between them. Not a wet-on-wet pass that looks fine now and wears through in two years.

Job site respect

Floors covered, landscaping masked, radios off unless you say otherwise. Cleaned up at the end of every day, not just the last one.

5-year limited warranty

A 5-year limited warranty on craftsmanship, written on your estimate. If the paint cracks, peels or shows uneven coverage from workmanship, we come back and fix it.

What homeowners say after the job

These are our Google reviews, word for word from the people who hired us. If we have painted for you, a review helps the next family decide.

"This is the second time I've worked with William Frates at Elements Painting and somehow the experience was even better than the first, ten years later. This was not a small job. Full interior refresh: walls, trim, doors, cabinets, floor to ceiling. From start to finish, William and his crew were exceptional."

K. Raynor, Google review

"We hired them to paint the interior of our home in Erie and were thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, and personal, high-touch approach. They took the time to understand our vision, offered helpful recommendations, and offered an affordable price."

Abbi Chapman, Google review

"They made my 115 year old home look amazing. I'm getting lots of compliments from my neighbors. William's crew was meticulous, courteous, and tidy. They set high standards of quality for themselves. William delivered on all his promises."

Elizabeth Gould, Google review

"Elements Painting did a great job on the interior of our home. We plan to have them paint the exterior in the spring. Thanks William and team."

Common questions

Why did you start Elements Painting instead of running a franchise crew?

I was already in the trades, and painting is one of the fastest ways to genuinely change how a home looks and feels without a full remodel. That is what pulled me in. I started Elements Painting because I wanted to build something of my own, not be another cog in a corporate franchise system. I saw a lot of shysters in this trade, and I knew I could deliver quality and actually care about the outcome. I have been painting professionally since 2001, and that is still the whole point.

What makes you different from a guy in a pickup with weekend subcontractors?

Two things. First, I am a painter, not just a sales guy or a face for the company. I can walk any of my jobs and see immediately whether the crew rushed or cut corners, because I have been painting professionally since 2001. Second, my crews are in-house, and my three lead painters have more than 25 years with the company between them. There is no rotating cast of day-of subcontractors. When I write your estimate, I already know the guys who will be in your house.

What are homeowners usually worried about when they call a painter?

Honestly, being taken for a ride. There are a lot of guys out there saying a lot of different things and putting a hefty price tag on it, and most homeowners do not know what they do not know about paint. On top of that people worry about the crew itself: whether vegetation and floors will get protected, whether things will get broken, whether the guys are going to play loud music, smoke, drink or leave a mess at the end of the day. Those concerns are real, and I try to address every one of them upfront at the estimate.

Are your crews long-term employees or day-of subcontractors?

In-house. My three lead painters have more than 25 years with the company between them, combined. That is deliberate. Paint quality is a habit, not a technique. A long-tenured in-house crew knows how to prep a room, protect a floor, and leave a job site the way they found it, without being told. They also know what I look for on the final walk-through, which means the work gets done right the first time.

What is your policy for job site cleanup, noise and property protection?

Floors are covered and furniture is moved or draped before any painting starts. On exteriors, landscaping and anything else near the walls gets masked, moved or worked around carefully. No loud music, no smoking and no drinking on your property. The job site is cleaned at the end of every day, not just at the end of the project. My rule with my guys is that we leave the space as we found it or better.

Do I need to move out while you paint?

No. Interior work is done room by room, with furniture covered and floors protected, so you keep living in the house. Cabinet work is the one exception worth planning around, because the kitchen is disrupted for part of the project.
